RJ Contracting was formed in 2026 with a clear purpose: to build a landscaping company rooted in honest work, exceptional craftsmanship, and long-term relationships. At the heart of that mission is Robin Chacon—a devoted husband, father, and industry leader whose commitment to his family, customers, and community defines everything the company stands for.
Robin began his career in landscaping more than 22 years ago, working hands-on across hundreds of residential and commercial properties throughout the region. Over two decades, he has developed deep expertise across a wide range of services including landscaping design and installation, edging, mulch and river rock, plantings and flowers, tree trimming, outdoor lighting installation (non-electrical), paver patios, retaining walls, erosion control, drainage systems and French drains, lawn care and mowing, patio construction, waterfalls, hardscaping, snow removal, fencing, deck construction, painting, sprinkler systems, and general handyman services too.

Jobsites are organized, teams are punctual and courteous, and every project is left clean and complete. Today, the RJ Contracting team consists of nine dedicated professionals, collectively bringing nearly 100 years of combined experience to every job.
In 2020, Robin's wife, Zuemi Chacon, became his business partner, bringing her own strengths and vision to the company. By 2025, they officially combined their talents and launched RJ Contracting, marking a new chapter of growth and opportunity. Together, they share a vision of building the premier landscaping and snow removal company in Sioux Falls, known for fair and transparent pricing, thoughtful budget management, and consistently high-quality results.
